Claim types collected for use in statistics

When you complete a form that starts a new civil case or appeal (for example, a Statement of Claim, a Summons or a Notice of Appeal), you are asked to complete a section entitled "Type of Claim" or "Type of Appeal". The categories are defined by the court in which you are filing your document and you need to select a single option that best describes the nature of the dispute and the relief you are seeking from the Court.
